Who We Are
As a healthcare provider, IHMS EUROPE may act in different roles based on the nature of our services, functioning as both a Data Processor and Controller. We work on request and under the mandate of Member States to ensure the best care during your repatriation and upon your arrival in your home country.
Information We Collect
We will only collect information we need to help you with your current, specific medical care and treatment. This may include health details necessary to ensure you receive the right care. We will ask for and process the following information:
Personal Details including but limited to name, date of birth, passport details, age, sex.
Medical Information including but not limited to Medical history, medical results from medical consultations and assessments
Travel information including but not limited to complete itinerary affected by the medical treatment including ticket data in order to be able to coordinate services.
Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Information
We will only process your personal information as instructed by the Member State in accordance with our contractual agreement with them or if we have at least one of the following legal basis to do so:
Vital Interests: The processing is necessary in order to protect your or another person’s vital interests.
Legal Obligation: Processing is necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
Consent: You have given specific consent to processing your data.
Legitimate Interests: Processing is justified for our or a third party’s legitimate interests.
Information Provided by Third Parties
We may receive information from government authorities, or health plans relevant to arranging your healthcare under the MedRA+ program, including:
Health and Eligibility Information: Such as medical assessments or eligibility for care.
Referrals and Treatment Records: From third-party providers involved in your treatment, such as clinics, hospitals, or specialists.
